The Christie

The Christie Charity raises money to fund projects at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, which are outside the scope of the NHS.

The Christie is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating over 40,000 patients a year.

Based in Manchester it serves a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around 15% of patients are referred from other parts of the country.

It provides radiotherapy through one of the largest radiotherapy departments in the world; chemotherapy on site and through 14 other hospitals; highly specialist surgery for complex and rare cancer; and a wide range of support and diagnostic services.

The Christie is also an international leader in research, with world first breakthroughs for over 100 years. They run one of the largest early clinical trial units in Europe with over 300 trials every year. Cancer research in Manchester, most of which is undertaken on The Christie site, has been officially ranked the best in the UK.

Your support helps us make a difference to cancer patients, both now and in the future.

Our kind supporters make The Christie special. Without the generous donations received through our charity, we would not be able to carry out our world-class research programme, or give our patients the best possible experience when they visit the hospital.
